Code of Federal Regulations (1996 - current)

~ The Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) codifies the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the departments and agencies of the Federal Government. It contains 50 titles that represent broad areas subject to Federal regulation. Available in various viewing formats with search options, you may even check the "List of CFR Sections Affected (LSA)" to research updates.

Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (e-CFR)

~ This is the unofficial e-version of the CFR. It is more current that the print edition, although the Federal Register may indicate more recent updates.

Federal Register

~ This is online access to the official Federal Register print version. It publishes rules, notices, orders, and other documents daily. The online version includes entries since 1994.

FederalRegister.gov

~ Often called "Federal Register 2.0," it is an unofficial e-version of the Federal Register. It is organized differently than the print version, being easier to navigate and search.

CFR Parts Affected from the Federal Register

~ Users can browse CFR Parts Affected from the Federal Register to find final and proposed rules that affect the CFR and have been published in the Federal Register within the past 24 hours, week, month, or within a specific date range.

List of CFR Sections Affected (LSA)

~ The LSA lists proposed, new, and amended Federal regulations that have been published in the Federal Register since the most recent revision of a CFR title. Each LSA issue is cumulative and contains the CFR part and section numbers, a description of its status, and the page number where changes may be found.

~ It is a source for information on the development of Federal regulations and other related documents issued by the U.S. government. Through this site, you can find, read, and comment on important regulatory issues.

RegInfo.gov

~ As a service of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA), RegInfo.gov presents information on all significant regulatory actions. Executive Order 12866 requires analysis of costs and benefits of rules and, to the extent permitted by law, action only when a reasoned determination finds that the benefits justify the costs.

~ The "Legal Opinions and Journals" findings of this site are immense. Even should you seek to "search opinions of," you will find advanced scholarly results. The span of coverage includes Supreme Court cases since 1791. A Google account is required for access.
